Moses Moody
Director

Moses Moody is a rising star with the Golden State Warriors, a 2022 NBA Champion, and one of the league’s most thoughtful player-philanthropists. Known for his versatility, composure, and basketball IQ, Moody has made an impact both on and off the court since being selected 14th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Moody first gained national attention at North Little Rock High School and later at Montverde Academy, where he competed among the top prospects in the country. He went on to star at the University of Arkansas, where he led the Razorbacks to an Elite Eight appearance in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. As a freshman, he was named SEC Freshman of the Year and earned First Team All-SEC honors—becoming the first freshman in program history to do so.

Since entering the NBA, Moody has earned the trust of one of the league’s most championship-driven franchises. As a rookie, he contributed meaningful minutes to the Warriors' 2022 title run—becoming one of the youngest players in league history to win an NBA championship. With a reputation for his calm under pressure, defensive toughness, and commitment to growth, Moody continues to develop into a key piece of Golden State’s future.

Off the court, Moody is just as focused. In 2022, he founded the Motivate One Foundation, which empowers youth through empowerment, leadership, and life-skills programming. His signature initiative, Moses Moody Day, is a city-designated celebration in Little Rock featuring career workshops, youth summits, and community service. Through Motivate One, he’s also led entrepreneurship panels, partnered with trades programs, and launched back-to-school drives in both Arkansas and the Bay Area.

A strong advocate for education and equity, Moody brings his voice and vision to the NBPA Foundation advisory board. He is passionate about player-led philanthropy and committed to creating pathways for young people to rise—on their own terms, and with the support of a community behind them.
